Dr. Rachel Mason

MD

Missouri Regional Medical Director

Dr. Rachel (Sanders) Mason grew up on a farm near Liberty, MO and decided on a career in medicine after a dissection project in 8th grade. After high school, she attended Drake University, where she earned a degree in Biochemistry. She attended medical school at the University of Missouri and then headed to Medical University of South Carolina (Charleston), where she completed her Internal Medicine Residency.

Always planning to come back to Kansas City, Dr. Mason then completed a Geriatrics Fellowship at KU, staying on there as faculty for 5 years before returning to the Northland. She was inspired to enter the field of geriatrics by her relationship with her great grandmother, who lived to 101 years. Her goal is to provide older adults personalized care with a focus on quality of life. She is married and lives outside Liberty with her husband and 3 kids. She enjoys baking, being outdoors, and spending time with loved ones.
